I make my coffee with filtered water. The water in my city is vile. It’s loaded with chlorine and if you let the chlorine evaporate, that takes about 48 hours, it’s still vile. The water comes from a reservoir that is surrounded by a swamp so has a high iron content making it taste awful. I used to use a single charcoal filter pitcher, until one day one of my sons told me that the water, compared to the well water at his home was really bad. This was after I had just changed the filter. I switched to that other filter pitcher that uses a multi stage filter. The result is water that’s as good at the water from the 150 year old well at camp. The filters are expensive at $15.00ea. I use three filters a year. Compared to buying bottled water, they’re inexpensive.
I also see recently that several bottled water brands have reduced the number of bottles AGAIN from 24 to 18 leaving the price the same. They think they’re fooling us. Six or seven years ago the package contained 36 bottles.

I skip the last step. Saves a LOT of money!
