my grandpa served and and fought in WW1 and lived to grow old with the scars, silently, i was told that he would never talk about it. my oldest uncle was on Corregidor when it was surrendered, he survived the death march and the hell ships to Japan for forced labor. my dad and many uncles who served in Korea and Vietnam. i have good genes i think.
