  1. Dad was a Chevy man, and a professional mechanic. I knew 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 by heart by the time I was 12.

  2. I have Fryberger’s 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 tee shirt. I am a Ford Truck man but I like C3 Corvettes. I have a 74 Stingray with a highly modified L-48 that is basically a little more than double the HP. It has 47K miles. It is a show car that gets less than 500 miles per year. It is a beast.

    • Not a vett man T, but that’s the only era of vetts I like. If’n you feel like it let Cederq post a picture.

  3. Are all y’all ready for this?

ALL of the old V8’s had the same cylinder firing sequence! It wasn’t until I was in College that I realized if you numbered the Ford cylinders the same way that GM did, the Firing Order was the same. Found it out quite by accident when I rewired my buddies Ford ignition, unthinkingly doing it the GM way and the darn thing ran perfectly!
