Hey, Phil; can you build me one of these ?
Imagine sitting in that on a hot summer day.. It would kill ya.
My thoughts exactly. Take the bubble off and put a half-windshield.
Pass
Saw a show of a guy making those bubble tops. I think he made other unique cars for hollyweird.
Slap some windshield wipers on it and make damn sure the defroster works and I’ll take it.
Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to pull out of the driveway around here.
Kind of like the Ed Roth design called the Beatnik Bandit which became one of the first Hot Wheels cars. Original Bandit was based on 55 oldsmobile.
The twin Ma deuces are pointing in the wrong direction.
That animal needs to be in the wheels through time museum in western N.C.
off hand I say it was a cut up old bug. the hood looks almost stock and the think the wheels are old bug type as well. get rid of the bubble and install a roof ?
windshield and wipers and I give it a go. those old bug where kind of hard to kill
and they where very good on gas too, it does need a space to store stuff though.
Look at the engine, those are Corvair engines if I am not mistaken
Silohuette, stolen in 83 never recovered. Hot Wheels, man we had it great as kids. No tellin how many I went through.
That is freakin’ awesome.
Unfortunately, that greenhouse canopy would be a no go in Texas
I like it! It’s as though my old 1973 Super Beetle had sex with the robot from Lost In Space! Danger Will Robinson!!!!

First thing I thought of was the Hot Wheels Silhouette. I had one of those – might’ve been the 1st one I got. Also based on an actual hot rod – https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Bill_Cushenbery's_Silhouette
