Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord Scenes from my life flashed across the sky, In each, I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints; other times there was only one.
During the lowest times of my life I could see only one set of footprints, so I said, “Lord, you promised me, that you would walk with me always. Why, when I have needed you most would you leave me?”
The Lord replied, “My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”
Nemo, I have loved that poem since I was a yonker. Many times I knew there was only one set while traveling my path. Thanks for that. St. Francis of Azizi prayer as well.

I’ve noticed quite a bit of evil that has emerged through all the avenues that we take in life. Know that it is there. Realize that it will always be there, tempting the weak to gain an advantage over you. Be strong. Keep your covictions of faith and love of God with you at all times.
I’m an old man now and I’ve never prayed to the Lord more in my life than now, realizing that I cannot chage my past transgressions, but I can use them to make myself a better person, to help my brother man when he needs it and walk the earth as this is the alter of my Lord. Enjoy the bounty that the Lord has given us, and strive to be better.
