  1. I had a kid working at my service station in the shop just helping out, whenever he cleaned a bearing, he would slip it over a couple of fingers and hit it with an air nozzle. That’s completely normal but instead of just drying it he would use the air to spin it up to an insane speed because he thought the noise was cool. I kept telling him that when bearings make noise, that means they’re unhappy so don’t do that. Also, if that bearing gets really, really unhappy at 10,000 rpm, his fingers will get pretty bummed out too. He did a bunch of other dumb shit that got him fired later so I never got to give him the “I told you so” while calling the ambulance for his twisted off fingers.

  2. used to spin up wheel bearings with an air feed to get cleaning gas out. But I think those bearings are a bit big for that race. But hard to tell. Still good things.
