Why make a bed up when you’re gonna just jack it up again in a few hours?
In the spare room…maybe.
MY bed? Got better things to do.
I read somewhere that it confuses the bedbugs if the bed isn’t made.
A “finding” by a “researcher” who hates keeping a clean bedroom.
Depends on what caused it to be that way
Just another example of “scientists gonna science.” Poor pointless and meaningless crap put out there so they can show how ‘sciency’ they are. The bad thing is, there are actually people out there who will not only care about it, but even believe it. Society is doomed. But we knew that already, I guess.
Actually this has been around for years. The persperation you do at night gets into the sheets. If the bed is made it stays trapped as very little evaporates, so you end up with a moist dark enviroment. If you leave the covers down then the persperation evaporates to the air faster and sunlight UV sterilizes the sheets.
It took a long time before I lost the habit that was pounded into me by my USMC Drill Instructor. I still fret over hospital corners and getting things tight enough. Between getting married and getting old and crotchety, I no longer make my bed as soon as I get up. But I’m convinced that having the discipline to do so is still a valuable attribute.

Admiral McRaven wasn’t all wrong.
