You should see the one I took when I renewed in May of 25. My daughter wanted to know what they did to piss me off like that. I was dealing with the pain from standing in line with no where to sit until it was my turn.

Chavez and then Maduro were just the latest South American leaders to openly criticize Israel and the U.S. Venezuela has been sanctioned by the U.S. since Chavez kicked out our oil companies. Maduro had just completed agreements with China to sell them oil in non-US dollar denominated currencies.
We need Venezuelan oil because it’s heavy sweet crude, unlike the oil we produce which is difficult to refine into industrial oils and diesel.
But this seized asset will only give us a temporary reprieve. Western fiat currencies are on life support. BRICS nations have been working on different payment systems for decades and they are now actively using them. The percentage of trade in the dollar has been declining for decades and will continue to do so.
What is happening in the Western hemisphere are the final death throes of a dying empire. Seizing assets will not fix the situation.
Iran’s next, but that’s risky. And it would most likely destroy Israel for good.
We may decide to go for the low hanging fruit first, such as Greenland (rare earth minerals) and the rest of South America.
