  1. Correct, that ain’t me in 35 but reference 37, during WW2, my mommy built bombs.

While my Father was off on a government sponsored cruise of the South Pacific, Mother stayed busy screwing fuse assemblies into hand grenades in an ordinance plant (righty-tighty) where at various times they also had her seating projectiles into 20mm cases and pouring liquid TNT into shell casings.

I think about that sometimes when I see these little byotches (male, female and indeterminant) with bad ink on every surface and pierced at every orifice, drinking ten-dollar latte’s, playing with their phones and whining about how bad things are in America. We are not the same.

    • That pretty much supports the concept of hard times produce strong men; good times produce weak men.

All things considered, Gen-X and onward had life too easy. Frankly, from a historical perspective, Boomers and onward have had it extremely easy.

Too many people today think that if it weren’t for the US or the police, there would t be violence I this world. They’re ignorant enough they think they don’t need farmers as long as they have door dash.

  2. That Mossberg 500 was the worst shotgun ever made. Aluminum receiver may have made it light but it didn’t last long. I wore mine out in 5 yrs of waterfowl & dove hunting. I still have it but it’s unusable. Aluminum is for beer cans not firearms.

    • Just like the AR right? 12 million made to date which is about a million more than the Rem. 870. I have no skin in the game though as all my pump guns say Ithaca on them.

  3. #6 – *snerk*
    #7 – too true!!
    #9 – agreed, CederQ
#14 – looks almost EXACTLY like my Dad’s 45 (my brother has it now…)
#20 – Yes, there ARE people that stoopid. And, they vote.
#23 – exactly what I thought when I heard he was shot. Weird, huh?
    #24 Pinochet Air Lines
    #27 – a real Thug’s Gallery
    #31 – I prefer my 930 *much* more, thankyouveddymuch
#34 – often pointed out by preppers. Be prepared and pass the ammunition.
#35 – she drove ambulances in WWII, so of course a machine gun wouldn’t faze her! She was one tough cookie, and I’m NOT denigrating her.
    #42 – effective door alarm…
    #44 – I’d ask, “Why !!??!!”, but I’d get back a “Because !!!”
#45 – at least she doesn’t have her finger ON THE TRIGGER, but what about the left hand??
#47 – Beautiful, uh, scrimshaw on that gun… (No, really !)
    #50 – watch that left hand, ma’am.
#52 – Nuttin’ like a Rooftop Korean Neighborhood Watch during a riot !
    #53 – Loaded for… bare.. oooops, bear.
#54 – Elegant. Not pretty, but pretty functional. And cheaper’n an M134 !
    #55 – Mmmmmmmmmmm, latex !!
#56 – the precursor to the Ruger GP 101 series. All my family have ’em!
    #57 – Surprise !!
#58 – Get your booger flicker off the bang switch, Lady!!
#60 – I *think* her finger is behind the trigger, but I can’t tell because I keep getting… distracted.
    #61 – Whoa !!
#62 – Double whoa! (You need a wider stance, ma’am…)
#64 – And, I know *exactly* where to shoot with ANY robotics to disable or destroy it. Handy being a Robotics guy !
    #65 – A.I. generated, and it’s a good ‘un.

    • I apologize for the numbering mismatch, CederQ called me and said that the WWW poster “stands alone”.
I used the number BELOW the picture. Please adjust your set…

  4. Back in the early 1990s, I worked with a really nice older fella who had this nondescript accent. He was in his early 40s at the time and was still JACKED! One Friday after work, some beer magically appeared in the shop and we sat back to have a couple each before going home. Asked him where he was from and he mentioned Rhodesia – I knew a little about the shit that went on there and thought it best never to ask about why he left. Unfortunately, one of the younger guys (my age) prodded him if he did any fighting, and all he said was something about dogs or something, something. Months later, I ran into one of my old school chums who was in the Airborne, and somehow the subject of my coworker came up – turns out there were many military people knew who he was and he told me only a few things. He had been involved in some capacity with Operation Dingo……… look that up and you would understand why this nice man scared the shit out of me (I was 6’2″ 225# at that time.)

  5. #39 – excellent cast but I wonder who else might have been cast as Morgan Erp instead of Bill Paxton (God rest his soul) ?

#61, not sure that Dodge is real – the chrome is in excellent shape but the body parts rusted? Well, I suppose not many are looking at the car . . . . ..

#36 – George McGovern. Can you imagine?

  6. #1, 1st gen AR with 1st gen, three finger flash suppressor. Probably had the original 1:14 twist rate. Probably worth north of 3 grand these days.
