#35 – Dibs on the Smiff.
You can get a pretty darn good copy of the old Tyler T-Grip adapter by doing a web search for bkgrips.com. Polymer but good quality, less expensive and faster. Tyler is allegedly still around but non-communicative, not set up for E-commerce, glacially slow service and quality appears to have slipped, by all reports. Damn shame.
#9 Happiness is a belt fed…and a few pallets of linked ammo in .30 or .50 cal.
#33.
Where do they sell those?
hey
i’m on board for
#57
Amber Sym.
She did naked parkour — running through, jumping over, climbing city obstacles — her videos are legendary.
All right, you firearm obsessives out there in the colonies: what is #2? I really like the design – are they any good?
That is an 1895 Winchester (current prices in the stratosphere). One of the 1st lever action rifles designed to shoot spire point, smokeless powder cartridges. It and the lever action, Marlin 99 were functionally equivalent to the Mauser (and Mauser inspired) families of rifles. From about the early 1880’s to 1900, buller, powder, cartridge, firearm design joined the modern age.
Thank you, Mike. I imagined that being such a clean design it would be something obscure.
#1 would be great if they played Ride of the Valkyries while you were eradicating pigs
the army used to have a weapon the M-202 which was like a 4 shot LAW really.
but it had a flame/fire charge instead of HEAT. one day I was bored and playing around with at the range I was helping to run (?)
ANYWAY, I found out a 66mm. heat round fit right in the M-202 launcher !
and then swapped out a few of the flame/fire rounds for heat rounds.
what fun that was. blow a hole in the building and then put a flame/fire round in right behind it !
but the powers that be didn’t find it funny or even useful ?
funny thing is we all thought it was a great idea and very useful in CIC as they called it back then. then it was MOUT and the brits call it FISH or fighting in someone house. who knows what they call it now?
and I don’t care what anyone says, I still like the old M-1 Tommy gun ever since I first fired one. granted it is a bit much to carry around all day at 10 pounds plus ammo.
#5 (Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro, magnifico
#29–hell, if that was my cousin, I might go to the family reunions now & then.
Same here! Looks like a Mossberg 500 or 590, effectively protecting her virtue.
#5 – sent it to some friends. None of them, not a single one, figured out the reference. I need me some new friends.
oldvet50, above, is the clue/song, Queen is the band.
If you were German, Italian or Japanese and this pair was lining up on your position for a strafing run, it would be very, very, frightening.
The P-47, in front, would have six .50 cal. browning machine guns. It could deliver 4,500 to 5,100 rounds per minute. That’s a lot of energy.
The P-38 had between 4 and 8 .50 BMG’s depending on if it had a 20mm, automatic, cannon mounted in the nose.
Mike,
I understood the reference immediately upon seeing the pic. The P-47 was a ground-pounder which had few equals. One minor quibble – it was equipped with EIGHT 50’s and could unleash something like 5000 rounds per minute. Of course it didn’t carry that much ammo because Isaac Newton will not be denied. The ’47 is also the name sake of the A-10 Thunderbolt II .. for good reason.
There are two P-47 pilots everyone should know .. Francis “Gabby” Gabreski and Edwin “Lucky” Wright.
Righto, I forgot about P-47s having eight guns. The aircraft 50 BMG’s had a cyclic rate of 750 to 850 rpm, compared to ground guns being 450+ rpm.
In Jr. High (1963-4), I read EVERYTHING WWll, air war. One of the most amazing stories was about a flight of P-47s strafing a German airfield for D Day. One came in too low, didn’t see a high tension line, and in pulling out, sheared off four feet of one wing, flew home and landed safely. Another crazy occurrence was a badly damaged P-47 limping home across the English Channel, was jumped by a German fighter. After a few bursts from behind (he didn’t come in for a side, kill shot), he pulled up next to the P-47, inspecting it’s condition, saluted the American pilot and peeled off, back to France. That bird got its pilot home alive, but was unrepairable.
The most amazing fighters, from Germany, England, USA, came out from 1935ish (Mess. 109) till the late 40’s. 400-500 mph is crazy fast for a piston/prop plane!
Derq, there’s only one way you’ll go blind, bwahahaha
1 WTF not on farce book asshole
