  1. #23 I know it has a birch stock and not walnut, but my Stevens 325C in .30-30 with the butterknife bolt handle cost me $40 way back in 1990. The Weaver KV was a gift from a cousin and the side mount was $50.

Under $100 for a 14-year old’s first and favorite deer rifle for the brush.

Now magazines cost more than the rifle.

  2. #4 – Some great lessons were learned on Saturday morning before the freeks took over the cartoons.
#24 – Respect for the priorities.
    #28 – Proud to be a BOOMER.
#29 – Anyone who honeymoons in China and makes as many trips there as he did needs to have his American citizenship revoked.
#33 – I would be dead. It took me several seconds to notice the pistol.
#40 – I need to get some of those.
    #49 – I’m there.
    #56 – Ohhh my.

    • 15 Them Bondurant brothers were tough sumbitches, read the book, it’s better than the movie.

        • 52 That cunt killed a deputy north of Atoka, Ok. Historical marker there. Driven through there many a time.

It may have been the one shot at point blank range portrayed in the movie, The Highwaymen.

Mike Rowe did an interesting segment related to her in his show The way I heard it.

    • Before D day radio broadcasts into France had a multitude of similar messages and only the resistance knew which ones were real and that’s when they knew the invasion was on and to begin to start their sabotage efforts against the Germans. Watch the movie, The longest Day with the Duke

    • #42, The little baggie in my pistol grip has that and many other necessities. Everyone’s should.
#23, That add is so old, it would be pre ’64. I would trade something important for a nice pre ’64 model 94!
The bolt action would be nice too, you could hot load it with pointy bullets and get 200 extra yards out of a 30-30. WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THAT?!?! Because you have one rifle and not much money. You could also down load it with cheap lead for bunnies and such.

  3. #37 I’m glad to see that the internet is forever and I can still see Nikki Lane in the marsh, holding an AK, anytime I want! 😊

  4. #30, Diana Rigg as Emma Peele in The Avengers.

Saw the original broadcast. On BBC . As a kid in Leiston, England. Don’t recall the year but it had to be between ’59 to ’62. Yes, it was in B&W.

    Gads, I’m old…
