  1. The Lone Ranger and Tonto; anyone who lives in the West will tell you there’s NO WAY you stay that clean outside!!! Oh; and I wonder of Tonto ever figured out that his name meant “stupid” in Spanish…

  2. 26) Grandpa put a lot of deer meat on the table with his Krag carbine. The thing I always thought was interesting was that the magazine was “first in, first out” unlike most bolt actions. That’s a really good idea for a military rifle. When you’re shooting a little, topping off, shooting a little… you don’t want that round in the bottom of the magazine riding out all the recoil. Peter Hathaway Capstick has a good story in “Death In The Long Grass” about that last round going wacky in the middle of an elephant herd cull.

  3. 19 – A perfect example of how to shoot yourself in both legs, at once. Poor holster placement and worse physical manipulation and trigger discipline.
45 – Another one shot in the leg, by her friend.
50 – Actually, it was: “No Russian”
