  1. From where I’m sitting, I can see the spot where I buried my buddy 5 years ago.
Still miss him, companion for almost 18 years.
    Remember the good times!

    • Same here big al, but I buried her 3 years ago, also made it to 18. Sorry CederQ, it sucks out loud, wish I could fix it (the heart ache).

  2. Your love for your friend will carry over in the next life. Ive lost a few pets that will be there when I go, but I’ve never lost the love for them. Cherish your memories.

  3. Every hole I ever had to dig for a pet left a little hole in my heart. I don’t have inside critters anymore, I just feed the birds, squirrels & deer. I’m sad for ya CederQ

  4. The very deepest condolences. Will keep you and the Wifely Unit in my prayers. I think I took my dad’s death harder than any of my dogs who have gone on but not by much. It sucks every time yet somehow ya move forward.

  5. It is tough, they don’t stick around that long yet we get so attached. You did him right. He appreciated that!

  6. She had good years, you took good care of the little peanut. She will be missed by all that knew her.
We’re here for ya, man. Guido is now free of pain.

  7. I am so damn sorry, Ced.
That’s one of the toughest losses in life.
Just know that you gave him a great life while he was here.

  8. Sorry to hear about your pup Guido. They go but we still get to have the memories of them

  9. My heart is broken, she’s in a better place and you and I are stuck here with all the jackasses. Carry on my friend, RIP Guido and Bruiser. That rainbow bridge just got more beautiful, would like to see it someday

  10. Condolences on losing her, it’s tough (I’ve buried two dogs). That said, 17.5 years is a pretty remarkable run even for a small dog. I’ve not had one myself, but get a kick out of Chihuahuas, as I’ve known several people and had one (or more) or them.

  11. sorry to hear it. my old dog Jack lasted 17 and 1/2 years. although he was blind the last year for sure. but when his hips started to go out under him. that I couldn’t take. the face or look he got when it happen just ripped me up inside.
I know it was time and the right thing to do, but damn did I hate doing it.
that last trip to the vet. they say all dogs go to heaven, well. I hope so. clause if I get there and he not there I am going to be pissed.

  12. Deepest sympathies. Our dogs are family members in every way.

I especially still miss our Dalmatian, Patches. A dog’s love is pure love.

  13. Judging by the amount of responses, I sometimes think people care for dogs more than their fellow human beings. I know I certainly do … heartfelt condolences

  14. So sorry for your loss. Losing them is painful, but knowing that we gave them a good home for as long as they were here makes it somewhat easier to bear. I do believe we’ll see them again, frolicking in Heaven’s fields.

  15. Condolences. People who’ve never had/lost pets just can’t understand how much a “family member” they actually become. She’s in a better place now.

  16. Even Cowboys will cry their eyes out over the death of their dog.
Seventeen and a half years of loyalty is something anyone would be blessed to have.
    Thinking of you.

  17. Sorry for your loss.
I’m gonna email you a poem a little old lady wrote for me after my 1st GSD passed, many years ago.

  18. Sorry for the loss of your buddy Guido.

I believe we will see them again along with the buddies that past before.

  19. Sad news.

Had several that have gone on, all good in their own way. Never easy, but remember that you had the same effect on their life that they had on yours.

    Condolences

  20. Sorry to hear about her passing. It was a pleasure to have met her a couple years ago.

  21. That’s an awfully tough go. Sorry to hear about that, and condolences.

  22. Damn buddy.
You know that you have my deepest condolences.
I really liked her and I’m going to miss her too.
She was just a little sweetheart.

  23. Sorry to hear that, CederQ.
With any luck, maybe we’ll get to meet up with all of them again.
They’re better friends than any of us deserve.

  24. Very sorry to hear this. A man’s dog is as close to a Heavenly agent that we will ever get before we meet our Maker. Be at peace, for he is now.

  25. I’m sorry for your loss! The hardest part of owning a dog… The older I have gotten, the more times I’ve gone through that… My condolences.
