Why would Greenlanders want to leave Denmark to become part of the US? Denmark has free universal healthcare and free higher education. Every 10 years every Danish worker gets to take a sabbatical of 6 months off with pay. They also have tougher immigration laws than the US.

I had to laugh when France, of all countries, announced they were sending or sent a squadron of F35’s to Greenland defend them from U.S. aggression.

The Europeans are a lot smarter than Trump (most people are). They are signing trade deals with South America to buy ag products and sell manufactured goods. Canada is doing similar deals with China.
It will be US farmers and manufacturers who will be hurt by Trump’s stupidity.
Having looked at the text of our new trade deal Carney signed with the chinese, its a bad deal. No more tariffs on chinese goods, reduced ability to verify quality of imported goods and more chinese temp workers in Canada. In exchange we get to sell them food goods and resources they were already buying and need desperately.
I didn’t see the elimination of tariffs, just a reduction for a few agricultural commodities. Canadian farmers will benefit at the expense of American farmers and that was the point, to hit Trump’s base.
You will be getting 50k cheap Chinese electric vehicles at a lower tariff. That was a poke at Musk and Tesla.
The deal may not be the greatest but the purpose was to join Europe in an economic shift away from the US.
