for a long time, a friend of mine used to joke that some day we be seeing ammo in little boxes like they sell rings and shit. and priced about the same too.
I still have ammo I bought back in the 1990’s surplus stuff. and it shoots just fine
today too. I figured out that ammo was always going to be the weak link and learned how to reload as well, bought a bunch of gear for it as well.
stocked up on primers and powder and bullets as well as getting a set of bullet molds for everything I own.
used to be, you could always find reloading stuff at yard sales and flea markets,
but those days are gone now. anyway, whatever I came across I picked up and saved. I have a lot of die sets for stuff I don’t have, but may use or want now/
or I be able to reload something for someone else in trade for something I don’t have. I never thought primers would get to the prices they asking now or I would have stock up a lot more than what I have already !
most of mine cost under 25 bucks per k when I was stocking up.
and now ?
funny thing, the wife is now starting to realize how much I worth with the stuff I have stashed away. not sure if that a good thing though ? we see.
Ammo? What’s ammo?
Dammit, I would be a billionaire if the boat hadn’t sunk.
