No argument with that take on my part. Further, being at least a generation younger than her, I never found her appealing in the least. She may not have been quite as offensive a leftist head case as hanoi jane, but she was in that same wheelhouse.
And based on appearances she made in the 80’s and 90’s, she was a pioneer in getting lip filler injections (that are now all the rage with vain, appearance obsessed bints) to the point her mouth looked like a baboon’s ass.

It absolutely boggles my mind how obsessed America is with the corrupt, syphilitic-thinking celebrity/sports-worshipping culture which has infected this country for well over 100 years. Despite the popularity of the TV show, apart from a couple of characters, it was rather weak compared to the movie “M.A.S.H.”
For all I know, it’s still playing as a repeat programme on a TV channel somewhere (my ignorance is due to not having watched TV for 22 years now) or as filler material on a streaming service. Forty-five or so years ago, I may have paid more interest if Major “Hot Lips” had regularly been the victim of pranks such as the shower scene in the movie version, but that’s a moot point, seeing as it was American broadcast television.

The TV show was a shadow of the movie and just shows how starved for entertainment people were to watch that trash.
I never understood the attraction. The way I saw it, she was an available trollop, of less than Acute mentality, to be manipulated into bed. As much as they tried to present her as some beautiful creature, I was never in that camp. A Midwit of middling attraction.

I have No Idea WHO Loretta Switt really was. That is just My assessment of the Character she played. I have to admit that Bruce Dern did such a good job as an actor, playing Assholes that I didn’t like him. Once I understood That,, I realized how Good actresses and actors could Impact my thinking.
That said I have No idea who Loretta Switt was.
