  1. Had a friend, knew since high school 1963, bought one of that exact same Mustang. Didn’t like the color so he had it painted a horrible shade of brown. Figured he was a little screwed up by doing so but I never said anything. Then we had a heated argument by saying he though Obama would make a great president. Haven’t seen that idiot since.

  2. In no particular order, I’ll take the Merc panel truck, the Ranchero and/or the Suicide Slab Lincoln. Yum!

And Ned’s red Ford and that blue Merc pick-up ain’t bad either!

    • Ya beat me to it. Was also going to say Ned’s ride is sweet and the Lincoln suicide Slab is classic.

    • Ned forgot to tell what year it was, I thought a 69 too, but I have been wrong before… better to keep the trap shut and be thought a fool, then, open said trap and remove all doubt.

      • With the pre 1970 bump sides you can tell by the side markers.
The 67 had no reflector on the side hood badge.
The 68 had side reflectors, but not lights.
The 69 had lights, but the were more of an after thought.
70 began the integration of lights into the rear body line and the front turn signal had a wrap-around to accommodate a side marker function. This style continued until the Dentside replaced them in 73.

  3. The regular Pinto was butt ugly, but somehow, turning it into a wagon, fixed that and made it useful. The 2.8 litre v6 helped a lot. Cracked heads if you over heated them.

    • Had a ’73 Pinto wagon with delusions of making a sedan delivery type out of it. Turns out you can’t customize rust even 40 years ago. Had a German built OHC motor w/random metric bits that made valve adjustments interesting.
