One of my wifes relatives has a 1925 Model T pickup truck and he taught me how to use that planetary gearbox system. I’ve driven the thing around in a pasture a little and it’s a better off roader than you would think. The large diameter wheels and the way you can control torque are very handy.
To me, Ford’s best “common” car has been the Taurus, and since I have one, The SHO is the best. For a “common” car, that is. I’d love to have a T-bird- but, who wouldn’t…
My 1989 is still going strong.
I’m with you, Igor. I’ve owned seven of them in the last 20 years. Eight if you factor in the 93 Continental. While I would have loved to have a 5 speed SHO, I’ve been more than pleased with the Vulcan engine. Probably the most bullet-proof motor since the 300 – 6.
BTW – I do have a T-Bird.
88 Turbo Coupe with a super charged 5.0 and a T-5. I need to get it finished.

Cederq, that is a fine collection of Fugliness , all in one page too.
Oh, PLEEASE! Look at the ’59 Fords and then look at the ’59 Chevys. Tell me TRUTHFULLY which was uglier!
My 59 Ford Fairlane Galaxie was big enough inside to rent out as a studio apartment!
First car was a ’59 Ford Fairlane Galaxie. Yeah; the two names were together back then. 2nd car was a ’63 Ford Galaxie. That’s one is STILL on my very short list of favorites! Rode great. Ran great. Had A/C and power windows! ‘Bought it from an old lady in ’78 for $150.00. Drove it for seven years. ‘Went to Alaska. Went cross-country. ‘Sold it for $1200.00, miles, rust, and all.
Fords out run Dodges is one of my faves.
My ’97 F-250 4×4 w/5.8 auto went 367,000 on original engine. Blew head gasket. Sold it for $2200 as-is due to shop fabbed flatbed and newish rear posi and front air locker. My ’81 Dodge Prospector 3/4-ton only got to 166k when I traded-in on ’86 F-250 4×4 w/460 4 speed. Oldest son at age 19 retired it early. My ’18 F-150 is barely broke-in at 60k.

First On Race Day!
Actually have a neighbor who races exclusively Ford cars, very unusual when most are chevy products.
I guess he does alright, he’s been doing it for more than a decade.

I always got asked; why a Ford guy had Chevy racecars?
Easy – I didn’t feel bad about blowing them up or wrecking them.

They missed a FORD acronym definition:
Fuckin’
Old
Rebuilt
Dodge
😂
The best acronym ever was Pontiac: Poor Old Nigger Thinks It’s A Cadillac.
Put a Dodge in your garage… and leave it there…
We have a winner! Read in Pop Mech years ago that you buy a Dodge for somebody else to drive.
That 68 M-250 was from Canada.
