  1. Fix Or Repair Daily

    Found On Road Dead

One of those works in Spanish, too, but I forget which.

  2. Facebook does not allow videos over 26 seconds which prevents Ford owners from posting their quarter mile race videos.

        • It is a 1947 Kaiser convertible prototype… I too thought it was a Studebaker at first and my dad had Studes and it didn’t quite look like it. Kaiser had an affinity for their cars to steal and duplicate body styles from other makes. I just wanted to see who was on their toes and notice it wasn’t a Ford.

          • It’s a Studebaker. I had a ’50 Champion and a neighbor had a ’51. That convertible is a ’51 since the taillight has a bump at the top. The shape of the chrome around the headlight, the nose peeking out behind and the shape of the rear fender are definitive to me. Google didn’t show me a convertible prototype Kaiser that looked anything like this.

            • I got it off a Kaiser web page, now, the guy wouldn’t lie to me would he? I know Kaiser was notorious for stealing and appropriating styling cues and shapes from other car manufacturers…

              • Google ’51 Studebaker Convertible. You will find that very very car in several pictures.

                • Henry, I am getting more to think you are right. I have an email to the web site asking to clarify the picture, I was going off of the description that was provided with the picture. I know my dad bought Kaisers and Packards for his second hand cars to drive to work. I don’t remember the models and he is dead, so can’t ask him…

  3. My dad had a 1965 Galaxie 500 that was his baby. It was the first car he ever bought new, and he kept it as cherry as possible. I was born in 1970 and as I came to age I would be outside with him on weekends learning about tuneups, points, condensers, oil changes – mechanics, guy stuff. It had a 352 8 cyl, but was saddled with a carb that lacked. We Holley’d it, cherry bombed it, some chrome…

  4. (kb died on me) Continuing….
He gave it to me when i got my license in 87 with the stipulation i maintained it.
Give a fast car to a young guy and we know where this goes as a year and a half later its totaled and i mean totaled.
    lucky to have lived there.

Dad past away about a year ago, To this day, its my greatest regret internally for failure for the old man.

  5. 1 – Unibody pickup. Not one of Henry’s better ideas.
3 – I remember that commercial. Always made me smile.
4 – Granny low 1st gear is walking speed, but can pull over a house.
6 – Boss 429. I’ve heard stories – they were VERY under rated, HP wise.
7 – My Classic Car featured a Bump Side with 19 original miles on it. Pristine.
9 – Yeah, that is a Studebaker Champion convertible. Nephew has a ’50 hardtop.
10 – What is with people putting PR wheels on trucks?
    11 – GT350 Heaven!
    12 – Classy little ‘Bird.
    13 – F1
14 – My Grandfather had a picture of his Ford flatbed, with wood wheels, carrying a rail-car load of grain, in bags. Forgot how many tons it was. It was a lot.
    15 – Phil’s old ride?
16 – Taking the 66 out for a ride along the river. Nice.
    17 – The F Series’ great-great-great-great-great-great-granpa.
18 – That is a damn crying shame, right there.
20 – Obviously retired to a life of leisure, but still ready to work.

    Nice collection, Cederq.

    • #9 is a Kaiser… I thought it a Studebaker, dad had enough of them but it is a 1947 convert prototype…
