Nothing new, I’ve been reading statements like this for years. Nothing has been done about it in the past and I will be very surprised if something is done about it now.
I’m always amazed that the country took the path it did in 1776. These days I think the vast majority of the people would side with the British and bring popcorn to the hanging of Washington.
Sure to hell feels that way. 1776 was definitely a historical aberration in terms of a group of people making the right call, and earning the right to self determination the hard way. The vast majority of the current US population is clearly not made of the same stuff. If they were, this shit would’ve been intolerable enough to kick off the needed action 30 plus years ago. Instead, the abuses are allowed to continue to grown in both quantity and scope.
It is my understanding that Washington once said that the only reason they won the Revolution was because of the Scotch-Irish. The Scotch-Irish made of only one-third of the population but were 100% behind the separation from Britain.
