VW has been making Bus Campers for the past 20 years for the European market, I have a friend in Germany that has an 8 or 9 year old VW Bus Camper with the infamous turbo Diesel. They have driven it all over Europe.

Until they can make it reliable, self-charging and I can drive cross-country in the middle of the night in all kinds of weather, you will not see one parked in my driveway.
