I had dated and made comment on most of the pics and wordpress did not bring those through when I hit post and when trying to edit the post it still won’t allow me to add comments. friggen wp… The two red Chrysler pics at the gas station was one Phil had taken close to his house.
About time, Cederq. Thank you from the Mopar fans.
As Phil, a new Dodge owner, I am obliged by my contract to embellish his preferences, I wished he had bought an AMC Hornet… I liked my AMCs.
so, where is a picture of Al Bundy’s car ?
you just can’t show dodge cars without a picture of it
No Hemi ‘Cuda (68!!) but that’s all right…
Igor, the ‘Cuda man’s ‘Cuda?
Thank you for posting these exquisite photos.
Dad traded in his two tone Chrysler convertible coupe for a new 1963 Dodge Dart stationwagon for the kid carrying capacity. We went across the country five times in Betsy. Oh the memories. The one and only problem was one time only, in 1972, the reverse gear wouldn’t work. An easy fix.
In 1974, older brother bought her from the parents. The 318 had over 300k miles and still going strong.
For a number of yrs, my younger brother had a stable of five Super Bees, two Road Runners, and a ‘cuda. All sweet running.
I had a ’73 Polara three on the tree, and ’72 Dodge truck.
Dad ran through a series of Coronets and Polaras.
Mom also had a Dart, then a Polara.
We’s a MOPAR family.
I now have an ’89 4×4.
My Uncle, a mechanic said the 318 was the best engine ever made.
About five years ago I met a man who’d just finished a rotisserie rebuild of a 1964 Fury convertible, root beer color. He was firm on the $68k ask. He did an amazing job, even right down to the rear seat interior foot lights.
My first car was a 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury Station Wagon with the big 318cid Y block… stuck Hooker headers and a large 4 bbl carb on it. I was forever tightening the manifold bolts.
Mine was a 69 fury, once I learned how points worked. Got a ticket doing 140 (Which I now know the absolute folly of, in it’s condition) south of Casper. Lost my wyoming license for that final straw. Fun times.
’67 Coronet. Nice.
