Actually that is a heck of a lot more stable than using a chunk of 4×4 or stack of cinderblocks under the stand providing a wheel or two are chocked.

I taught my grandsons and soninlaws that if you have to remove a tire to work on your vehicle, slide the tire under the vehicle. Then if you lose the jack or jackstand you won’t lose a body part, hopefully.
At least duct tape those two together before applying a load. Would make it a might more stable.
