Probably because they never get to push it in.
You must be a ford guy…
Best I can recall; 5 Fords, 5 Toyotas, 2 Oldsmobiles, 2 Subarus, and 1 each of Volvo, Volkswagen, Datsun, Chevy, and Mazda.
But never, ever, anything Mopar.

Well played, sir.
LMAO
Jokes aside, you can’t pull out of you can’t get it started, and malfunctions of GM anti-theft technology have been known to leave more than a few owners SOL (including myself, my brother, and my mom, all in different vehicles) when it prevented the vehicle from starting, even with the correct key / fob, going all the way back to the original passkey system.. In fairness, I’ve had the same issue at least twice with a Ford product (have owned both Ford and GM vehicles), and know others who have had similar failures on most common makes. Still, GM’s tech and overall reliability have been in almost continuous decline since the late 90’s. Ford has been sucking shit water for the last 5-6 years, at least. Hell, they’ve set a new record for number of recalls in one calendar year in 2025.
My best advice is to hang onto – and meticulously maintain – your old vehicles.
For those of you who haven’t heard, GM has issued a recall of 900,000 trucks and SUV’s with the 6.2 liter V8 because of sudden engine failure do to improperly machined crankshaft and or out of spec. rod bearings.
Sounds like they’re actually trying to compete with Ford now. How did we get to a point where domestic trucks are all shit?
