  1. I got my generator adjusted but now it sounds like it’s gonna fly apart. I think I am going to invest in a harbor freight 3500 watt inverter generator. Supposed to put out a pure sine wave.

  2. Nice vid, mister! Glad to see you’re still wearing your birth control glasses while workin on stuff. I always used splice shutoff valve on my junk. You can put them where it’s handy. Thanks for your trouble.

  3. Appreciate the words of caution, but they were un-necessary, we that are regulars care not how you look, and everyone else can fuck off.

  4. Thanks Phil. I’ve got an old Generac 4500w in the garage right now awaiting an oil change. I think I’ll put a tester on it like you did and make sure it’s doin’ it’s thing. Good tip, buddy.

  5. I have a Generac 5500 that runs on propane, lent it to my brother a while back, and now I can’t get it to start. I mean it like maybe 3-4 years old but
maybe 2-4 hours of run time on it. I not sure it he stopped it with a load on it or tried to start it with a load on it. nice looking unit, if I can get it to run !
anyway , picked up one of those inverter ones last year for a grand on sale
electric start, so far. it works every time . I keep pure gas in it, no corn shit.
same as the snow blower. I have to get one of those meters, I have only bein checking voltage on them so far.
    time to go shopping.

  6. You traded your brother for a generator?
Did you get a good deal?
    😇😉😂😎😊

  7. Voltage AND frequency are important, so your advice and tester are a good thing. Most people don’t check either, and a lower voltage and/or a lower frequency will fry motors especially! I won’t go into the technical explanations.
Lots of modern electronics use switching power supplies which can handle the frequency/voltage drops (within limits, usual 10 to 15 per cent of nominal), but motors aren’t designed for that kind of abuse.

    Good advice!

  8. Very informative we were thinking about some kind of unit for fear of a hurricane in Texas here but so far we are generatorless stay awesome
