Jeff Bezos has warned a US recession is looming, and advised consumers and businesses to stockpile cash in case there’s a devastating downturn.

“The economy does not look great right now,” Amazon‘s billionaire founder and executive chairman told CNN on Saturday.

“Things are slowing down, you’re seeing layoffs in many, many sectors of the economy,” he continued. “The probabilities say if we’re not in a recession right now, we’re likely to be in one very soon.”

Bezos recommended American households delay big-ticket purchases such as new TVs, refrigerators, and cars, given the risk that economic conditions worsen. Similarly, he suggested small-business owners consider holding off on investments in new equipment, and build their cash reserves instead.

The e-commerce pioneer declined to estimate how long the recession could last, but he urged people to be ready for an economic disaster.

“Take as much risk off the table as you can,” he said. “Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.”

It’s not like we aren’t in one already, it’s more like it’s going to be longer, deeper and more painful than most people have been predicting.

As in Depression.

Even if it never reaches that status officially, millions of people in this country are going to get wiped out completely.

It’s already horrible for some.

65% of Americans live Paycheck to Paycheck by official estimates.

That number is low, trust me.

Credit card debt is already Sky High and lot’s of people have already maxxed out their credit limits before this part of the show even gets started.

Personal Debt overall is already at record Highs.

The Fed keeps dumping money into the system and whining about inflation out the other side of their mouth, while knocking interest rates up incrementally, trying to make someone believe they are doing something about the inflation they are causing.

All these interest rate increases are doing is reducing demand, which retailers have been screaming about for three months now.

Christmas is going to be a bloodbath this year for them and sparse for the rest of us.

This trend is going to last at least into Spring and more than likely into Summer.

Those of us who have been watching what’s been going on aren’t the least bit surprised and now we get to watch everyone else get up to speed with economic reality.

Such a travesty and unnecessary loss of life and rare equipment.

I was just out in the Danger Zone going through some old coffee cans full of crap that the Old Guy across the street was going to deep six that I couldn’t bear to see when I ran across an old Ball Peen hammer head with the handle broke off.

So I stuck it in the vise to knock the broken part out of the eye.

Low and behold, I see a Flat Bladed screw sticking up out of it.

“Fuckin’ Rednecks” I mutter to myself under my breath.

There just so happened to be an old wood handled screwdriver in the can also so I snatched it up to get the screw out.

Imagine my surprise when this is what came out.

A real wedge screw made just for holding hammer handles on.

I can’t even REMEMBER the last time I saw one of those but it HAS to be at least forty years ago.

This is why I do everything I can not to let that old bastard throw anything away that even REMOTELY looks salvageable.

He still has several buckets full of old crap sitting over there that I am just dying to get my grubby little mitts on, just to see what other little surprises he has stashed away.

I have told him repeatedly not to throw anything away and that I will PAY for anything he doesn’t want anymore.

I still have another coffee can full of crap to go through and I also found another perfectly good wood handled screwdriver.

This sounds like it would be VERY difficult to play in the first place but to almost copy it note for note would be next to impossible.

I know I haven’t been what is and was considered “Normal”, my whole freaking life.

I have always marched to my own beat and could give a fuck if anybody liked it or not.

At this point in my life, I believe I am whatever the opposite of “Normal” is and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Because if what I am seeing out there is what passes for normal, I think I might have to take several more steps away from it.

Well we all have seen the cheating already.

No surprises there. Although I do believe this didn’t go quite as well as they had hoped.

I’m also seeing some races that the MSM were calling for the DemonRat actually go to the Republican.
