I am sorta a pack rat but I don’t think you would find me very tasty or tender.
I recall seeing a report on PBS tv probably about 40 years ago? Regarding French estates having accommodations to propagate mice for food
It actually sounds like a good Recipe, but the size of Mice I find in the Garage Traps are pretty small. Probably take a Dozen or so to make it work.
But I’d be aiming for Rabbits and Squirrels (Chik’n of the Trees) before Mice. Lots of Rabbits in my Yard, won’t take much trouble to Trap some and put them in Cages, where they will Multiply like… Rabbits.
I would use spam or vienna sausage, tastes better, also easier to find and doesn’t have bones.
Yeah, I prefer the Rainy Day version. Field Mice are pretty scrawny.
I notice it doesn’t specify dressed out, skinned and cleaned Field Mice.
That could be a rather important consideration.
Cody Lundin has a you-tube video that shows you how to dress and cook pack rats.
