I always thought I was reasonably intelligent until I watched this but it just causes me massive cognitive dissonance.
It does not compute.

Yep…you can get some pretty wild patterns when it spins in the X, Y, and Z axis, especially with cameras. The cameras can only film in frames per second, so they are catching images at certain points in time…like 24 little pictures every second. It cannot catch the image in between it’s fps speed, so you’ll get funky patterns captured on film.
Kinda like if you’ve ever seen video of a helicopter landing when the rotor speed matches the fps speed of the camera and the rotors appear to be stationary. It can’t catch the “in between” motion.
Or how buggy wheels appeared to turn backwards in the old Western movies shown on TV.
Or the old TV Westerns where it appeared the stagecoach wheels were turning backwards…same principle.
If you ever noticed, on camera the LED marker lights on cars are not on continuously.
They appear to flash in sequence. That’s the patterns you are seeing when those type lights are spun in 3 axes.
It’s what drives the flux capacitor as you speed up to 88 mph…
Bwahahaha!
I was waiting for that one.
Think marquis lights that “chase” each other. Or, if you understand 3 phase current, then that’s a visual interpretation, sort of. Frame.rate @30fps helps accentuate the effect.

Not 100% sure, but I am sure that somehow the stroboscopic effect is involved.
Just how many beers/bong hits had you consumed when you stumbled onto this video?
You just reminded me. Today is the 13th anniversary of the last time I got drunk and I haven’t smoked dope in years either.
I found the video on Twatter.
Today is your Bill W day, congrats. 🙂
WHAT?!?! Pot is gawds proof he wants us to be happy! So is alcohol. Shhheeeesh!
I think I had a seizure…
Having worked with Gyro-Stabilized Platforms and Inertial measurement Units, I can see absolutely no use for this contraption whatsoever.
Made by MixMaster??
“We control the horizontal
We control the vertical…”
Thanks for reminding me that I’m old…
Aye, Cap’n, I’ve got the RetroEncabulator back on line !
Scotty
Watch it again on mushrooms and you will know exactly…how that works.
Easy explanation Phil, it’s magic! Let’s not over complicate it with math and science. 😂
Science!
Now basically the only new principle involved is that instead of power being generated by the relative motion of conductors and fluxes, it is produced by the modial interaction of magneto-reluctance and capacitive diractance.
The original machine had a base plate of pre-famulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the panametric fan. The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzlevanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented.
The main winding was of the normal lotus-o-delta type placed in panendermic semi-boloid slots of the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a non-reversible tremie pipe to the differential girdle spring on the “up” end of the grammeters.
Chrysler Motors turbo encabulator video, 1997 or somewhere near that, the version with the tech giving diagnostics was the best version.
Are you familiar with Toastmasters? One of their speaking options is to offer an unfamiliar word to the speaker and he is to explain what it is and does.
Evil Franklin
Think I saw this in Contact with Jodie Foster.
Is there even a point to the thing? Look at the spinning light! Yay! Who gives a shit??
Ok, so it attained ludicrous speed but when does it hit plaid?
“My God! It’s full of stars!”
