Camping Saturday.

Phil sent this, it is a Jag and unusual enough I tried researching it and came up with nothing. Maybe The Jannie might be able to enlighten us?

The picture above and below are from Jeffery in Alabama camping in Foscue Campgrounds in Demopolis, Alabama. They do have some nice RV campgrounds in Alabama. I have stayed at this campground myself. Brings some memories.

Sorry, it’s news to me. I did think about searching various lunatic asylums, then decided that the monstrosity didn’t merit the attention.

  2. I’m torn between emotions here – part of me says ” How cool is that !”, and part of me says” How could anyone even think of desecrating a Jag that way ? “

    • I’m leaning toward “abomination” and everyone that had a hand in it’s creation needs to die in a fire.

  3. I’m torn on the second one – the 2024 Renegade 45CBF. Nice looking, pretty and all, but that $665,000 price tag is over 10x what I paid for this house (40 years ago) and around 4x what I could sell it for now. I mean, I’ve heard people talk about selling the house and living in an RV but I sure couldn’t even do that.

  4. While I’m familiar with the shooting brake body style, in that image, the Jag body is too uniform and smooth, so I’m speculating it’s a generated image, at least partly, or done in Photoshop. Take a look at the position of the right-rear bumper – how close it is to the trailer. To my eye, at least, that puts the left-rear bumper pushed into the front body panel. The more I look at it, the worse it gets. What’s that black rectangular panel doing there? The shadow area around the back of the Jag? Actually, the shadows look inconsistent.

Nice redneck stretch camper. No, that’s not my “lottery” dream.

  5. Whoever destroyed that “most beautiful car ever made” (#1) should be hung by their balls and beaten until dead.

  6. #4: old WW2 tent. my Dad had one & loved taking us kids ‘out in the field’ digging holes to crap, all food fm cans etc. I rather enjoy my HVAC, thank you. 🙂

  7. #1 Looking at the windshield angle and the wide A pillars I’d guess that someone grafted the front end of a Series 1 E-Type onto another early ’60s car and then added shooting brake body work. In Britain you can build your own car and apply for a Single Vehicle Application for roadworthiness to get it licensed.

About to head over to 12) to help out. They look like they need it.

  9. #20, the !nternational Cornbinder (a ’63?) was the exact vehicle that me, my brother, his best friend and 2 of his brothers drove on the AlCan Highway back in ’70.

    WHAT a trip.

    • The Travelall was built for trips like that. Dad had a 63 back when and I acquired a ’70 much later. Rust in inaccessible and hard to fix areas was the reason I gave it up for cheap. Wish I knew better now. Good reliable trucks.

    • You probably past my Grampa with his camper. He made 4 trips from Ada, Ok. When I was a youf
