Spartan was a real misnomer, their aircraft were older style piston-engined luxury executive transportation, before ‘business jets’ took over that market.
Was part of Spartan aviation and one of the oldest schools in the nation still in existence today in one of the original aviation Mecca’s in the country as well
I think I saw an article many decades ago about the car-train, pulling up to four campers. Too lazy to look it up, I believe it was in Popular Mechanics.
Damn, some of them are nice; the Spartan is definitely misnamed. It’s luxurious!
Decades ago, when I was recently divorced, I lived for several months in a 32′ camper trailer. Not a bad life for a single man or a couple.
