Original caption: 2/25/1946-Los Angeles, CA- Light, compact, and streamlined, this Aero-Flite trailer was produced by a reconverted war-time aircraft plant, with construction methods formerly used in building fighter plane parts. Weighing only 1860 pounds, about half the weight of a pre-war trailer of the same size, the Aero-Flite is made entirely of aluminum and magnesium, with an interior constructed of hardwoods and war-developed composition materials. February 25, 1946 Los Angeles, California, USA

#1: That’s a big fat nope on the no train to no-flippin-way-ville for this child.
I like the old pics that show the family car towing the trailers with all of the kids hanging out the windows. Yesterday’s cars could take the abuse because they had full frames, an inline 6 or V8 coupled to a manual transmission that allowed for the towing. The cheaply stamped autos today are for going to the grocery store or zipping around town and that’s about it. Another piece of the American dream that has faded away.
Rolls Royce camper? I’d love to see the inside of that one. Those Aero-Flites looked really nice too, better than the overpriced teardrops and Airstreams you see today. http://aeroflitetrailers.com/
8 I like the hood ornament
Get busy Igor rain a comin
I wonder where the guy found the counterweight for the log cabin?
I admit I give the pictures a cursory glance when I pick and post them, but I don’t see a log cabin? Are you confusing my Cabin series form a couple of weeks ago?
I think it’s the “ABC CODY WY” with the log panel siding. I kinda wondered about that odd looking sorta bumber thing on the front too.
