As I was scrolling through, on several of these, I’m asking myself, why?
Couple of good chuckles there, especially the first one. The fake log cabin is funny too. I think I could enjoy a pontoon boat, provided a big enough lake that I could use it to get far away from other people.
Doing the ironing on a campout? She’s either obsessive, or her husband is a real dickhead.
Lake Shasta is your lake. 350 miles of shoreline when it’s full like it is now.
That baby blue Dodge D100 brings happy tears to my eyes. Had a ’76 Adventurer like that (deeper hue of blue), 318 CID engine, vinyl interior, bench seat, metal headliner. I put over 200,000 on it before I sold it in ’97, due to 1st child soon to appear. Many happy memories and ‘outside adventures’.
Boy, does that next to last one bring back memories. Back to the days when the Forest Service had those ’50s and ’60s pickups with the pipe racks in back for hauling men to fires. Seems like most of those guys wearing khakis were good old white guys that did the job because they liked being in the woods and doing the work.
It looks like that travel trailer is actually painted Forest Service colors too. I don’t recall ever seeing one like that before.
#8: A fine British Leyland product: I can hear the rear subframe rotting from here . . .
On another tack, have you noticed that so many camper self-builders start with something unusual and, after months of work and vast expense, end up with something 4king hideous?
I’ve noticed you have one of two possible outcomes:
Hideous
A work of beautiful art.
Strange start with a classic finish. Nice

Not much in between, unfortunately!
