Good point about the Quonset huts, and there ain’t NO WAY I’d bastardize the Beaver, especially that construct.
That VW R looks like an abomination, and the Econoline Low-rider is a travesty. Neither one has original engine, I bet my last paycheck.
Surprised Sandy had no comment. I remember seeing the old quonset huts on my college campus. Alas they are no longer there. I am sure my kids tuition helped pay for the removal. Fee’s for everything.
I was intimately familiar with Quonset huts as a kid because my Father went TDY to Bentwaters RAFB from ’59 to ’62 and they were all over the base.
Come to find out that Bentwaters was a MAJOR aircraft staging point for the invasion (operation Overlord), IIRC.
I didn’t learn that until about 30 years ago!
