We are glad you did, we have been all over the internet. You couldn’t keep up?
On the road working.
Mostly without good service for the phone.
So yeah, sort of hard to keep up.
Got the weekend off so I actually had the time and resources to do some searching.
In this case it took about 5 min.
Amazing what can be accomplished with the proper tools.
Got our annual snow dusting yesterday in conjunction with losing water. Great fun with a house full of young girls. Still without water but when it is restored it should be entertaining working the toilets. The whole idea of pretend you’re mexicans and put the toilet paper in the waste basket sort of went over their heads.
Sure I’ve got plenty of 5 gal buckets for latrine use but I didn’t think we’d be out for more than a couple of hours.

I don’t envy you rightwing, a house full of young girls and no water or proper working toilets.
Nice! My folks used to have a body mount camper on top of a pickup and towed a large two horse trailer with it. One truck lasted about two years, then it was time for a new one.
Nice Camper Special ad.

Thought you would like it Leigh! Stay tuned during the week I have two posts coming up, one of Fords and one of Chevys, not that you would be interested in that one….
I’d like to see the Chevy ad. Still have my 83 Cheyenne Camper Special and it’s parked in the driveway awaiting restoration. It lives in the Sierra Foothills so very little rust. A full restore is still far cheaper than a new one.
Is the Ford PU a 70 or a 71?
Judging from the grill, which is hard to see properly, I would say that is a ’69.
In ’70, Ford added a center bar and had separate grill inserts. The ’70 was its own design of a smallish rectangular grid – roughly 1″h x 2″w. The 71 – 72 grills were a large rectangular grid that carried over until the 77 model year.

Last pic looks like something straight outta an R. Crumb comic. No wonder I like it.
Found it!
