it used to be called LIC. and it drives any large army mad. and it did cost us a lot
too in the past. Vietnam and of late the sand boxes.
it works. plain and simple. you can not guard everything all the time.
used to help teach CiC back in west Berlin back in the day. big urban areas
are great for LIC. that is until the other side decides it time to go whole hog on your ass. lock the area down- hard. start at one end and destroy anything that stands in your way going to the other side.
if you look at history, you will find that is a very effective way to wage war.
the Germans kept about 1/4 of their troops guarding everything. and it still was not enough. I don’t know how bad it was in the sand box, wasn’t there.
knew a few people who went and they said it got bad at times.
here would be a problem for “them” , there are a lot of weapons in this country.
a whole lot of weapons they don’t know about either as well.
grandpa guns handed down, or one found in barns, or any ones bought before
1968. and then you figure in the amount of vets here. there are a whole lot more than most people think there are. there are a lot of people who own machine tools and the skills to make weapons here. this is something I don’t think they have planned on.
God usually fights on the side of the heaviest artillery. And, I might point out that God IS the Heaviest Artillery…
Logistics will get you there, without it your “war” will be rather short-lived.
Logistics are key. Kind of make the lone wolf survivalist out on the road a little unbelievable. If every resupply is a smash and grab you will not last long.
They have the F35 as well, bwahahahahaha
…and they’re a stone-cold bitch to keep maintaining, too!
Yannow, if the Resident in Chief keeps selling off all our petroleum reserves and screwing with supply chain, and closes refineries and extraction, going to be harder and harder to keep the fleets supplied with JP5
Logistics and unintended consequences will intersect at some point.
One well placed rifle round, say .30-06, .308, maybe .300 Win Mag type, dead centerline and about 2/3rds of the way aft of the nose and that high dollar F-35 will quit flying. Single engine. Take a compressor blade or two out and the thing will eat itself. There’s a reason most of the A-10 is hollow; it was designed to be shot at & hit.
