  1. My torque wrenches are all Snap-On and CDI (Snap-On’s other line,) plus two ratchets. The torque wrenches are sent out once a year for recalibration – so, no, absolutely none of them are electronic. Everything else is a mix, because I would rather put my own kid through University than the Snap-On Dealer’s kids.

    • I have a 40 year old click type Snap-on torque wrench. I have used it to rebuild 3 v-8 engines, 6 or 7 times on V-twin motorcycle engines, and on any tire rotations. Each time I have checked the torque wrench by tightening 3 bolts in the range of what will be needed on the re-build. I confirm with my spring dial torque wrench. The Snap-on has been within a couple of pounds every time. My light use is what I attribute it to being close to calibration.

    • My wife complains that the guy talks too fast, but he has a LOT of information to convey and some of his test rigs are… African Engineerd. But they work.
