Azzzzzzz Usual.

Just got home from fetching groceries with the Wifely Unit.

Yep, some things are gettin’ squirrely up at The Wal Mart.

Weird shit cleaned out, like the Instant Bowls of Ramen Soup.

The only ones left are the Shrimp flavor.

Nobody likes that shit, it’s nasty.

The Water situation was a little better than the last few trips, Coffee is getting to be a joke.

I like Folgers.

The cans have shrunk in half from last year and the price has gone up a third.

Even from a month or so ago when I went down to Bi Mart and bought six cans the price has gone up over a dollar.

Told ya that was coming then.

The 85/15 Hamburger the Wife insists on?

Yeah, we cleaned them out because the last two times we went to get some she said it was already starting to turn brown in the package and she wouldn’t buy it. Even cleaning them out, we only managed to snag like four one pound packages and one two pounder.

I have been HAMMERING on her about the supply chain shit and the shortages.

I do mean hammering too.

She knows, she is just as stubborn as a seized bearing and her normalcy bias is like part of her fucking DNA.

I think, just maybe, the little light on her forehead is starting to flicker in recognition of what I have been trying to tell her for fucking MONTHS now.

Since forever, she will only shop for food for one week at a time.

It has driven me to the point of insanity that I can’t break her of that.

This time?

She didn’t even hesitate to clean them out.

That freezer she still claims we didn’t need is finally getting some action beside frozen fucking pizzas.

There may be hope for her after all.

In other news, neither me, CederqX nor Mike can see anything wrong on the dashboard of this place to explain why people aren’t being able to leave comments.

It’s a fucking mystery.

The readership stats have also fallen off a cliff.

Maybe some folks finally got tired of having to chase me around.

I dunno.

I don’t have any problem getting here nor leaving a comment.

The header doesn’t show up on my phone but that’s it.

Otherwise, using the laptop or the phone, this place pops right up.

I guess I’m just going to have to give it time and try and build things back up.

  1. Okay so what I’m seeing between the two sites.
    This one has no header and hasn’t since the start.
    I can see everything else just fine. Had one issue trying to comment. It didn’t want to accept my email.

    The other site, I am not able to see half the posts being put up.

    I’m only making you aware and not complaining.
    I can understand how many issues can be involved and can’t imagine the frustration that you’re dealing with.

    The effort is appreciated and thanks.

    • Thanks Death for being patient. We are like messican jumping beans trying to figure out this problem. See the reply to Kid, the thinking is the lack of a site security certificate, the “s” in the URL in http(s)://…………

    • Kid, we are trying. the consensus is the site security certificate (or lack of it) on the URL. Phil is looking into it with Cold Fury. Hang in there and we are chasing that dragoon… a lot of people are not able to post a comment and some of us are. I can post on my Pale Moon browser and my Brave browser that I use to moderate on.

  4. See a lot of comments that say no comment, maybe lag between when they are made and then approved? Seems to be working for me on an iPad using brave.

    • Paul, we are moderating the blog-s. the new one is http://coldfury.com/bustednuckles/wordpress the reason there is a time delay is getting to the dashboard to approve the comment. Phil and me are the moderators and while we do this out of a labor of love, we do still somewhat of a life and stuff to do. So, it may take a few minutes, or, a couple of hours depending on what we are doing. I hope that clears it up.

  5. I can appreciate trying to get someone past “this week” and towards bulk … light finally clicked for her when the TP run happened last year. She’s even letting me stock up on ammo … translate that as she’s not getting as mad when I buy it anyway.

  9. My wife and I have different views of taking this serious. I want to buy cases of canned goods. She said she was going to start stocking up….and bought three extra cans of soup and a bag of rice. WTF?!
