there are quite a few of them around here, and they do hunt as well.
haven’t seen a deer yet on a buggy, but I have seen a few wagons with deer on them. there one guy the guys at the sportsman’s club talk about all the time.
seems he always get a big buck somehow. old fart who uses a black powder rifle
and a bow in bow season. never saw or met him myself, but I hear he like a ghost in the woods.
A friend of mine is like that in the woods too. Literally, he goes out every day of the year to spot the big ones. Finds one and basically follows him around til the season opens up.
Lots of Amish in my area. Stopped by the local sporting goods store one day and noticed some buggies in the parking lot but didn’t think much about it. Went back to the gun department to lookit new arrivals and there were four or five Amishmen there, arguing over which automatic shotgun was best. Opinions were strong and loudly stated. Very surrealistic. No cars, no phones and no electricity but the Amish can have automatic shotguns, who knew?
Guns don’t separate you from the people you care about, so they’re allowed.
I happed to like my 930 Mossie semi-auto very, VERY much!
Only 4+1 but I can turn a Tac Team into a gooey mess in a very short time. Oops, I meant a herd of deer. Yeah, deer.
the mossie was out of stock here, so I picked up a CZ-712
which I turn in to a nice little 7 plus one home defense
weapon. groups well out to 50 yards with number 4 buck too.
and I can keep slugs on a 12 inch paper plate at 100 yards
get yourself a extension tube and add a few more rounds to it. I went with Nordic myself. it works very well.
shooting with my grandson, we tried to shoot a target in half at 25 yards. took a little over a minute to do it
shoots faster than my 590 does. my brother calls it a home invasion special. he got one as well.
CZ makes a sell a bigger bolt handle/grip/ cocking knob too, worth it. as it makes it easier to use fast.
Here in Michigan they are very casual about getting hunting licenses and sure as hell don’t respect private property.
Was that road kill he caused and harvested?
That’s his story and he’s stickin’ to it.
Remington 76/760/7600’s are popular with the PA Amish. They use a 10 round or possibly a 20 round magazine…hence the name: Amish machine gun.
Or bringing home the venison
