This is unprecedented.
Trust me though, there are plenty more where they came from.
Prisoners, including Rafael Caro Quintero, extradited as Mexico faces pressure to show it’s tackling fentanyl trafficking

Mexico has extradited 29 high-level organised crime operatives to the US, as it faces intense pressure from the Trump administration to show that it is tackling fentanyl trafficking.
Among the prisoners sent to the US was Rafael Caro Quintero, the drug lord who was convicted of the murder of an undercover US Drug Enforcement Administration agent in 1985.
The extraditions come as Mexico tries to convince the US to postpone 25% tariffs on all Mexican imports. Donald Trump has tied the tariffs to results on fentanyl trafficking and migration, without setting any specific targets.
Caro Quintero, the former leader of the now defunct Guadalajara cartel, spent 28 years in prison for the torture and murder of Enrique “Kiki” Camarena before being released in 2013 when a court overturned his sentence.
He returned to drug trafficking and was on the FBI’s 10 most wanted fugitives list until he was rearrested by Mexican security forces in 2022.
Other big names being handed over to the US include two former leaders of the notoriously violent Zetas cartel, Omar and Miguel Ángel Treviño Morales. They were arrested in 2013, but US authorities had accused them of continuing to run the Cartel del Noreste, the successor of Las Zetas, from prison.
The extraditions come as Mexican delegations visit their counterparts in the US to negotiate another delay of Trump’s tariffs, the deadline for which is 4 March.
Now do politicians, lawyers, pedophiles and crooks.
But I repeat myself…
Don’t get your hopes up. He’ll never go after his supporters. He pardoned the biggest domestic drug dealer in history (Silk Road), got the Tate brothers released and sent to the US. He pardoned a couple of demonrat politicians and will never release the complete Epstein files because….reasons.
I have retired after 32 years in emergency medical care. I’ve learned to be brutal in triaging salvageable folks in situations. I’m going to leave, better call Saul, to thrash about in his corner as he foams about his mouth. That fella is definitely not salvageable.
So……how many of the 40 million or so illegals have left the country either by themselves or by being deported?
Thanks for your concern. I’m overdosing on schadenfreude from reading about Trump voters who didn’t think he would cut their Federal job, block their grain sales, deport their workers, close their rural hospital or cut their Medicaid or VA health care.
Everyone must sacrifice so the billionaires can get tax cuts.
You do know that all tax cuts originated in the Congress. Who do you think writes the tax code? The tooth fairies in their spare time? Goes through the Rep’s then to our very, very wealthy Senators. Who then rub hands together gleefully as they carefully plan a middle of the night approval so nobody’s around to see it passed.
Never kid yourself each “loophole” benefited more than one member of the Congress.
On paper that’s how it works. Now the lickspittles in the legislative branch do whatever Trump tells them, or else.
Burn them alive at the stake.
Stake them out on fire ant mounds within sight of the border, but guard the approaches from the Mexico side with heavy weapons on our side with an Fire at Will ROE. Let folks on that side of the border hear the narcos die.
Fine; MORE “immigrants” we’re going to have to feed, clothe, house, and medicate… Mexico should’ve “extradited” these guys at 30K feet when they crossed into our airspace!
And the SUCK of it all is that for every head that’s lopped off the cartel monster, another one… or MORE… grows back to take its place.
Gotta catch’em first
So they extradited a few supposed cartel leaders and they’re going to put them on trial, then jail them for the the rest of their lives. Like that’s gonna stop the drug flow?
This is the same old same old failed U.S. DEA play book that has been going on since 1971. FIFTY FOUR effg years of poring money down black hole and the problem only gets worse as years go by. It ain’t gonna solve shit.
There are already new leaders running the same old cartels. The only ways this shit ends is send troops into Mexico, Seal Teams and Delta and KILL ALL THE CARTEL MEMBERS. Then set up an interdiction operation on Mexico’s west coast to intercept the chemicals that China is shipping there enabling the cartels to manufacture the drugs. Anything short of that is a waste of time and money.
Exactly. The Mexican President is owned by one cartel, so these guys are probably from a rival cartel.
There isn’t a military solution. Prohibition always fuels organized crime, public corruption, militarized police, and loss of liberties, and the prohibited item is still readily available. The only solution is to drop the war on drugs.
I don’t give a shit if the loss of liberty is in Mexico, although I think that after the cartels are killed off and any U.S. troops withdraw there will be more liberty there since the cartels are running the country now and killing civilians at a whim.
There’s so much money involved that anyone we kill will swiftly be replaced. And it’s Americans liberties that are being lost, with asset forfeiture and domestic spying.
