My state regulates hard liquor sales via state run liquor stores. They’ve been renovating and expanding the high traffic ones in various cities and towns over the last decade or so. When they opened the new one in my city a few years ago, ALL of the parking spaces in the first two rows nearest the building were designated for green vehicles, with just two for handicapped people. Probably 25+ parking spaces.
The were several dozen letters to the editor in the local fish wrap and two lawsuits were filed. One by a handicapped organization and one by a group of regular citizens. It was a topic at the next weeks city council meeting where several dozen irate people spoke about it. The state settled and designated two spaces for green vehicles at the farthest point from the door in the first row and four handicapped spaces nearest the door. The rest were open to anyone. I don’t go there often as I don’t drink much (maybe I need to rectify that). I’ve never seen a green vehicle occupying any of those slots.
Brilliant
I do the same thing. My Silvrerado is charcoal black with a green metalflake that shows only in direct sunlight. Fuquem. What they gonna do. tow me for not being green enough?
I’ve done that too. On Ft Hood.
It won’t let me post the picture.
