That was good.
Is it dusty in here?
reminds me of learning to drive on gravel roads. no guard rails. 3 on the tree.
10 cent cokes, and a world long gone now. life was a lot simpler and easier then.
and drinking sweet tea on the back porch.
When I graduated and joined USAF in ’69, the back 40 was there. When I got back home in ’73, it was going away. Urban sprawl is a cancer, took me too long to see that and so many other “hiding in plain sight” truths.
When TEOTWAWKI happens, a lot of red pilled folks are gonna go nuts. Many accounts will be zeroed out, along with certain blood lines. Hopefully there will be enough “good” folks left to start something better, and avoid “The End”.
Truth.
Where I am living, in a house that is only one year younger than I am (I turn 70 in a few days) there was NOTHING east of Pines Road, just fields, orchards, aqueducts, and dirt roads.
Now it’s wall to wall Suburbia all the way up the hills and clear past Coeur d’Alene. I really, really miss it!
When I built my house 15 miles West of Medical Lake out on the prairie the closet house was 3 miles away. When I lived shortly with that one ex ball and chain, I went out there and there were houses all over the place!
