Wow, that went to high in a hurry. What did the clear vinegar cost?
Something like three or four bucks.
That’s why that price shocked me so much.
A quart of Braggs at Target is $2.39. There were no gallon jugs. That was today and they had about 6 bottles. There were other brands but all were less than $10 a quart.
If that’s for the Bragg then that’s not new, it’s always been overpriced “organic” crap. At my local wally world it’s $25/gal but the Great Value is $1.79 for a half gallon (no gallon jugs shown on website).
Isn’t Braggs some fancy organic vinegar?
It is “organic”, but it’s main benefit, supposedly, is that it is unfiltered. All of the brown stuff that settles out when you leave it sit is called “mother”. That is the stuff that supposedly has all of the nutrients in it. I’ve tried it at various times over the years and really don’t notice any benefit, except a lighter wallet, if you can call that benefit.
You can make your own. A three pound bag in of apples will yield about a quart. It takes a little practice but the recipes on the net abound.
A quart of Bragg’s is about 5 bucks. A Gallon of clear vinegar is about 5 bucks. Nanuet, NY
