Tool gnomes. Crafty little critters that hide your tools until you’re test driving your car, hear the ding as it hits the pavement, and then wonder what it tore loose after the check engine light comes on.
After an exhaustive search, you locate the tool in your back pocket. . Ask me how I know..
Same with my glasses. And wifey goes “see? they were right where you left them”.
I used to wonder why spectacle wearers would choose to buy ugly, bright-coloured large heavy plastic frames for their glasses.
Now I know, it’s to save time having to hunt them down after you took them off for “just a sec”.
I hate it when she says that. My wife is positively gleeful when she says that.
I was blessed with a wife who is more forgetful than myself… Of course, that only carries until she loses the last set of keys for her car, me having forgotten to have another set made when she lost the first set…
And the last place you look
look in your hand. i have been there and done that when aggravated with a project.
You were probably sitting on it….
And you’ve scratched your head with it at least twice while you were looking.
The thing I hate is finding it the first place I looked, knowing damn good and well it wasn’t there the first time I looked.
That garage is far too tidy.
The tool magically re-appears just after I come home from buying a new tool to replace it.
Ask me how I know… and, I’m SURE it has happened to us all…
In the long run though, it works out. That’s how I acquired a set of tools for the garage, and a set of tools for the barn…
Don’t forget the 30% driving to the parts store for something you forgot or broke.
You’re over estimating the work time.
The 1/2″ and 10mm sockets… Yours will disappear, but don’t fret! You’ll find someone else’s in glinting in the sun in the middle of the road next week…
It ain’t just the garage, it’s the kitchen, sewing space, knitting paraphernalia…
….CederQ’s dress collection…..
Kilt buddy, kilt.
Ooph
TMI, buddy, TMI.
Heck! I think that is actually Phil, maybe a few years back, but sure matches the profile. 😉
Damn right it is….
