At least he had the good sense to put a 2 x down on the base so the ladder legs don’t pierce the bucket!
1st off, I’ll never own a 2 story house and 2nd, if I had to for some reason, there sure wouldn’t be any lights that couldn’t be changed with just a small step ladder.
Also why aren’t there warning signs around that light. Also, some lawyer will sue the architect, builder and ladder mfgr when the dude falls off and ‘we’ will all have to pay for it. 🙂

This is why men die younger than women.
The architect – or whoever designed that – should be made to replace or fix or install or whatever.
It looks like a smoke detector. Best place for catching smoke. Worst place for turning it off when the smoke detector false alarms on a gnat fart.
If it’s a light fixture, that’s a great spot for LED bulbs.
As long as he doesn’t introduce lateral force on the ladder, he’ll survive. But nowayinHell would a big chicken like me climb that thing.
