  1. Very nicely done, musically speaking. I’ll also give bonus points for the female talent, notably the statuesque blonde, and to the brunette with the widows peak, as she bears a certain resemblance to Mia Sara in her youthful prime (and a staple of male Gen X teenage fantasies). Not that there were any rejects in the bunch, so far as I saw.

Baritone guy put in a solid performance also, and did pretty well at losing his accent, which has got to be tough for someone with an accent that strong, and who isn’t a native English speaker, either.

    • There’s also another slavic (Russian? Ukrainian?) group that does Chicago tunes that sound remarkably like them. Can’t for the life of me remember who they are, but most DON’T speak English very good, if at all.

      • One of the more interesting things to come out of the COVID era were YouTube performances done by musicians (often times from different countries all over the world) getting together “virtually” and multi-tracking performances (in isolation, each recording their own part to be mixed into a finished product). Usually these were covers of well known rock, pop and jazz songs. Many of these were exceptionally well done, and it caused me to discover both individuals and groups that I’d probably never have run across otherwise.

The posted video is not an outfit I’d seen before, but as a semi-pro keyboard player my whole adult life, I can recognize and respect the talent that goes into a production like that. And again, all the more so for performers who are singing in other than their native language. I couldn’t get up and sing a song in Russian, German, Spanish (or anything other than English) to save my ass, so I have to recognize the effort put in, even if they simply learned to perform the lyrics phonetically.

At least they spent time learning to do something real and entertaining, unlike so many social media gadflys who trade on nothing more than a pretty face (“I have nice tits, pay me money!”) and the existence of simps.

  2. Sorry…didn’t work on me.
Had to listen to Judas Priest “Painkiller” to get the audio funk out of my ears.

  3. First thing that popped into my mind was, Boris and Natasha sing to Moose and Squirrel.

Why? We thrive on the base and prurient aspects of life. You want to ruin that?

    • I respectfully submit that we are all warrior-poets at heart. We do both. And we don’t treat people fairly. We treat them accordingly.

    • That is what I was wondering. Have you ever had to associate with people with supposed ‘class and sophistication’? The majority are a bunch of hypocrites. That’s why I like this ‘motley crew’…we are what we are.

    • Victrola, old chap. And, yes, we had one. My sister got it, which is a pity because she probably sold it. For a pittance.
