Went and saw a doctor today to get evaluated. I have been cleared to go back to work Monday.
Dammit.
I was thoroughly enjoying not having to do that.
It is what it is. When I finally can’t turn wrenches for a living I’ll find something else to do.
Good news you are so lucky you found a talented surgeon. Wish you many years inspiring us.
I officially retired 4 years ago, since then I’ve been doing things that I couldn’t do while I was working for a living.
I’ve built a house, painted miles of everything. Figure out electricity, laundry, changing transmission fluid, and cooking with a pressure cooker.
I gotta do it all for myself, but I have so much fun every day!
Well sheeeit! I mean, that’s great, yeah…sorry. I hope the pain is significantly reduced.
The Anti Opiate VA gives me Hydrocodone for my all-the-time pain, so I mean it, when I say I hope your pain is down to sub roar levels.
Yay! Back to “normality”.. Just when you’re getting used to the idea of not having to ruin the day by going to work, they bowl you a googly . . .
Seriously, though, don’t try to be Superman: repairing fully takes time and discipline.
Happy for you and sad for you. But you don’t seem like the person that would be satisfied to be idle while you can still work. But take it easy and go through the paces like I’m sure the doctors and therapy people are telling you.
The doc probably saw the posts about working on the Spite and decided you needed a break.
That’s good news/bad news. Good to know you’re on the road to more normal living.
Ease into it brother still praying for all of us.
