I like my dogs more than most people I have met. if I could afford it. I have a lot more of them. for most a dog is a telling sign. if they like dogs and are kind to them, well they worth knowing then. if not. stay away from me and my dogs.
I have been lucky to know some really kind people and I try my best to be the same to them as well. life is way too short to have to put up with assholes.

I recently read that there are two types of people, those that return shopping carts and those that don’t.
I would bet there is a big overlap of dog lovers and cart returners. For better or worse, I’m both, but then, I give a shit.
Me and my old dog are both aging but she’s a faithful companion until a rabbit or squirrel pops up. Had a highlight the other day when a carpenter friend of mine stopped to visit along with his Blue Heeler who hates everyone but him. And me. The Heeler came out of the pickup at full gallop to run to me to be petted. My buddy shakes his head every time this happens since the dog wants nothing to do with anyone else. Makes me feel good every time it happens.
Those are the greatest honors. I would bet all dogs are like that with you.
