yeah, a few times back in my younger days. not so much anymore.
Not only have I done that, I’ve petted the dash and apologized to my vehicle for doing something really dumb.
It’s been a while, but yeah, I’ve done that.

Cars repond to some care and affection, serviced well, fresh oils throughout, clean coolant, mechanical sympathy ie let her warm up and warm down a bit before and after harder driving especially if there’s a turbocharger involved, keep her clean and polished keep her shod well, stick a reflective cover on the screen when parked to protect the dash from the sun.
She’ll return the care in years of reliable service, yes i still pat her and tell my 19 year old car thankyou now and again, they can stick this modern ultra electronic spyware infested rubbish where the sun don’t shine.
