And people wonder why we keep saying if you feel froggy, jump.

I don’t have 125! I must be slacking.
Yeah, Jerry, the math works out to 1.25 per person. Anyone with 2 guns is quite above average. I’m not gonna give my number, but I am happy to be above average for our whole household.
That’s the 120 they know about..
Most of ya’ll have the guns you need. Concetrate on ammo.
What Mikey said. If you keep all your ammo under your bed, you don’t have enough ammo.
I’ve had plenty for a while but still can’t curb my lust, especially when I see a great deal on something nice, new or old.
I did have to perform a serious redesign of my closet shelf a couple years ago to avoid a catastrophic overcapacity failure.

We’re not a democracy, we’re a Republic.
(Democracy is a word made popular by Karl Marx in “Das Kapital”. The word “democracy” doesn’t appear at all in our Constitution or Bill of Rights. Please stop using it).
“Democracy” was a word created by the Greeks in ancient times, “demokratia”, meaning “rule by the people”. Marx did not invent the word, and certainly was not the first to use it. In any language, t equates to “mob rule”, as the Greeks found out, and it is why the Founders clearly stated that our government is NOT a democracy and was never intended to be. It is a republic.
My goodness, what have they been teaching you children?
I didn’t say Marx created the word. He popularized it. (They taught this child to read and comprehend grammar.)

The question is not all or nothing. It depends on how the terms are defined, both today and historically.
To the founding fathers a republic was simply not a monarchy. Jefferson called us a democratic republic. Others used the term representative democracy. The system uses democratic elements, not direct democracy where every citizen votes on every law or issue. Direct democracy would be unwieldy. Saying we’re not a democracy is like saying a person is not a Christian unless the follow every teaching to the letter.
Are we a republic? Yes. Are we a democracy? Yes.
We are not a democracy. You want to call this a democratic Republic, fine. Suit yourself, but we are not a democracy.
Q.E.D.?
Jerry,it takes time to build collections, and, the #’s show each person would only have 1&a 1/4 firearms evenly distributed.
I guess those 1/4 firearms are just like the folks who have 2@ a half kids or 3.8 dogs ect.
Anyhow Jerry, just keep shopping,we can do better in this numbers game!
I think the USA number is significantly understated. Firearms are made to last a long time. Very few are used to the point of being worn out. With just a bit of care, they can last for a century or more. Ammunition isn’t quite as durable, but I’ve shot 50 year old .22LR with no issues.
Of course, that was before I lost all of my firearms in a freak canoe accident.
I doubt the Kiwis are that high on the list anymore, since that nutter “shot up that mosque” and their equivalent of Gov Hochul took over.
And that ain’t counting the ones lost in those canoe accidents!
That’s a lowball guesstimate. NOBODY I know talks about their guns with strangers, much less answers polls with any honesty. The conversations go something like “How many guns ya got?” “I didn’t tell ya?” “Nope.” “Huh, must be none of your fuckin’ business.”
