A Short Respite

It seems like it’s been a long time and it probably has been, since I have had 4 days in a row off and still be employed.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had 4 days in a row off period now that I think about it.

At least last February.

It’s not like there is any rest for the wicked either way, I have said for a long time now that I must have been Genghis Kahn in a previous life or something similar.

SOMEBODY is getting even with my ass for something.

Danged if I know what the weather is supposed to be like and danged if I care at this point. There is going to be a serious case of putting my feet up for at least the rest of this day.

Tomorrow is another day, that whole Thanksgiving thing. It’s supposed to be pretty laid back around here for once. We aren’t going anywhere and nobody s coming either. I’m sure The Wifely Unit will be watching Sportsball, she isn’t even going to cook.

She ordered in a whole Turkey dinner from what I understand.

Whatever, that’s her deal. Mine is to eat, nap and generally be a pain in the ass.

Of which I am very good at.

I will wind up in the Disaster Area at some point, there are only 4237 projects awaiting my attention.

I’m also sure I will find something to post, it will more than likely be another Open Thread so everybody remember that and look for it.

I would really like to see that get knocked out of the park participation wise.

You have been given fair warning.

If you don’t make it by here before hand, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

As messed up as things are, my cup runneth over and I have much to be thankful for.

Not the least of which is you guys who come here and make my day, every day.

My thanks also to CederQ for stepping up to the plate and fitting in like a glove.

He takes a huge load off of me every day.

  1. You and Wifey have a great day, brother. I’ve put together a two day pack, and am going for a desert ride.

  2. What? An OJ Simpson glove? I was trying to finger.. err, figure how long I have been doing this?

I am glad and honored to do this, Thanks either being desperate or trusting enough to allow me to have a chance to really fuck it up…

    • And you have done so on a few occasions.
Still can’t forgive you for some of the things you’ve had us look at.
By far the worst was the Auss-man, but some of the blimpies run a close second. Anyway have a good thanksgiving and dam it stay healthy this year. I’m not gonna go through the trouble of tracking your half dead ass down again this year!!!

  3. I have lucked out and do not have to deal with the outlaws this Thanksgiving, they are all crazy. Cooking a turkey breast, and it will be just me, the Mrs and the 3 starving Labs in the creepy old church in the middle of nowhere.

thanks for keeping the blog going

  4. This time, last year, I had the whoop-chink cough. Thought I was going to die, or at least felt like it.
I am quite thankful that this year isn’t like last.
I hope you guys, and all of your readers, have a great Thanksgiving.

  5. WTF is four days off?
My last two days off from a three-day long weekend ended up being Saturday afternoon and back to work Sunday at 3pm.

And to think I quit the Patch because I could never get a day off.

  6. Happy thanksgiving to our beloved host Phil and cohost CederQ. I hope your day is everything you want it to be. You two are rockstars and do an outstanding job at what you do here. Thank you both for taking the time to entertain us and for presenting thought provoking topics. And happy thanksgiving to the rest of the Motley Crue here.

  7. We both have a 4 digit todo list. My todone list isn’t getting any bigger, either.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  8. And a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you guys and gals who keep this site entertaining throughout the year. Yes, you know who you are.

  9. I’m just catching up on my blog visits, y’all are the best.

Y’know, it really sucks we are all mostly far apart – it would be a heckuva get together if we were all closer. The miracle and curse of modern communications.
    Thank y’all very, very much!
